Happy Monday shredders! It MLK day and so I thought I'd share and discuss one of my favorite Martin Luther King Jr quotes with you. "Whatever your life's work is, do it well. A man should do his job so well that the living, the dead, and the unborn could do it no better." That is a great definition of the shred, "your life's work". MLK's shred was altruism. He pursued his passion greater than most have ever done before him. We can take inspiration from his words and do the same. Live your shred as if no one before during or after your life could be the same. Shred with passion, creativity, quality, a sense of self, and a general disregard for the status quo. There are a million obstacles between you and your goal. You can't let consensus, rules, or difficulty get in your way. Think about all that he has done. He Marched with 200,000 people through Washington D.C to the Lincoln memorial where he gave the famous "I have a dream" speech. He organized bus boycotts, conferences, and peaceful protest in the face of death. He culminated all of this by winning the Nobel Peace prize in 1964 at the age of 35. Now look back to the days before all of those great accomplishments and think what a world we would be living in right now if he sat in his kitchen in Alabama and told himself that the path was too long and treacherous. Or if one of those burning crosses or bricks was enough and he stopped. It gives me shutters to think about. Take a page out of his book today. Be the titan in your battle. Move mountains. Don't take this Monday as just another holiday. Use it as inspiration to push forward and pursue your dreams no matter how large. Enjoy this beautiful start of the week and never forget,
Have Peace, Be Love, and Shred Everything
