Shredvotion 3-16-16

Good morning shredders and Happy Wednesday! Today's shredvotion is about Shaquille O'neal. Shaq, as most people call him, is one of the most memorable basketball players of all time. Standing at 7'1" Shaq was drafted into the NBA in 1992 at the age of 20. He left college at LSU to pursue his basketball career. After one year of playing Shaq had spent a large portion of his first paycheck. His financial adviser gave him a rude awakening and told him that if he didn't learn to be smart with his money he would end up as another washed up NBA player. With the encouragement of his mother he returned to college and now has an Ed.D in Human Resource Development from Barry University. He went on in his NBA career to earn 4 championships, 3 with the Lakers and one with the Heat. Upon retiring he put his degree to work. Shaq is the joint owner of 155 Five Guys Burgers restaurants, 17 Auntie Annie’s Pretzels restaurants, 150 car washes, 40 24-hour fitness centers, a shopping center, a movie theater, and several Las Vegas nightclubs. He also has a bunch of endorsements and is an analyst for TNT. He is an avid member of the community, working with several charities and law enforcement. Shaq learned to shred in more ways than one. In addition to being one of the best basketball players of his time he realized that life was a shred as well. He used his influence to help children, build businesses, and set a positive example for future aspiring basketball players. He learned that you can transfer the mindset you gain from your shred into the world around you. I hope his story can inspire you to reach with your shred as well. Its a wonderful day to be alive family. You have the power and ability to have far reaching influences in the world if you embrace your shred and direct towards positive action. Enjoy the adventure in front of you and never forget
